Between 2020-2024 I worked for an Electrician in Gardiner, NY. I learned from a master electrician, among other contractors important skills related to the electrical trade as well as the trades in general. A keen attention to detail was embedded into my mind as I learned skills surrounding troubleshooting, new build wiring and circuit installation, residential and commercial code compliance and more.
Since 2020 I have been a certified NYS and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician. I have worked with an agency on a rig, as an on call EMT for a large hospitality resort, as a stand by for large college sporting events, and club events, and part of a volunteer search and rescue. Recently I obtained my Wilderness First Responder certification to become a Wilderness- EMT (WEMT).
For two winters I worked as a Ski Patroller for a Mountain in New York. Using my EMT certification I responded to emergencies on and off the hill and helped assist with accident prevention. I learned skills related to proper lift evacuation, proper crowd control in emergencies, and functional team dynamics.
From June 2025 - August 2025 I was a backpacking guide in Haines, Alaska. For the duration of the summer I guided 5 day overnight trips in the Alaska wilderness. I learned new skills and refined some old ones including camp set up, bear safety, handling emergencies in the field, and professional etiquette.
